Dr. Bob Newman

My name is Dr Bob Newman. I recently retired after a 40 year career in Family Practice and anesthesia in BC. I was a colleague of Jane on the Sunshine Coast for my last  10 years of practice.

I have always admired her clinical abilities, her work ethic, her leadership skills, her compassion and her incredible appetite for improving conditions for health care not only on the Sunshine Coast but across BC. She has been an effective leader on countless committees, boards, departments and networks. She is a good listener and an excellent and thoughtful communicator,

She has all the attributes to take on and thrive in the position of President of Doctors of BC. I was excited to hear she is letting her name stand.

I also know she is an experienced  and competent sailor. I would feel confident with Jane at the helm of the Doctors of BC guiding us through potential rough waters with a steady hand on the tiller.

 I would have no hesitation in voting for Jane and I hope you will too.
