Dr. Ray Markham

It is my pleasure to endorse Jane Bishop for President of DoBC. I first met Jane, all those years ago when she was advocating for physicians at the Provincial Privileging Project. This was very difficult work and I saw Jane standing the breach for her colleagues at no small cost to herself.  I was, and continue to be struck by her curiosity, depth of understanding and principled approach that she continues to take to all that she does.

Jane has practiced at the front lines of our profession is some of the most difficult places and has continued to retain her humanity and caring. She has brought her leadership to multiple collaborative committees and works tirelessly to improve the lot of physicians in caring for their patients through Shared Care Committee and Joint Standing Committee on Rural issues.

I believe that Jane’s curious and principled approach would make her an excellent President for our Association.
