Thank you

I’d like to thank everyone who supported me in this election!  I am especially grateful to all those who endorsed me in writing, in a video, or in spirit.  I worked very hard at this and am proud of my showing— coming within  60 votes amongst three candidates is a very close race!  I  hope to stay involved and to use your momentum and support to continue making meaningful change possible.

Regarding how the election process works, here is some info that may be of interest:

It’s a ranked ballot, members will vote for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4thchoice…if after the first ballot there is no clear winner of 50% of the votes, then the 4th place candidate will be stripped of their votes (thereby being eliminated), and everyone who voted for that person, will now have their 2nd choice candidate votes spread over the remaining three candidates.  This is repeated until there is a clear winner.
